TDA was formed in 1997 to provide engineering and software support to the US Navy’s airframe structures division located at Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) in Patuxent River, Maryland. This division is responsible for maintaining the structural integrity and providing fatigue life tracking for all US Navy fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft.
TDA is headquartered in Falls Church, Virginia (just outside of Washington, DC), with regional offices in Patuxent River, Maryland and Marietta, Georgia.
TDA’s professional staff is comprised of engineering personnel with direct, hands-on experience in structural and systems engineering – specifically aircraft structural design and analysis, external loads generation, fatigue analysis, finite element analysis, wind tunnel test support, and flight test support and data reduction as well as multi-tiered, Java-based software application development.
TDA’s staff have worked at private and government aeronautical engineering organizations such as McDonnell Douglas, The Boeing Company, The Federal Aviation Administration and Lockheed Martin as well as at noted software consulting firms. The average industry experience for TDA professional staff members is more than 20 years.
