Founded by aeronautical engineers with experience in both military and commercial
aircraft, aeronautical engineering remains central to TDA's business. Since its
inception, TDA has worked extensively with the United States Navy's (USN) aircraft
structures division in support of USN F/A-18, F-14, E-2, P-3, S-3, C-2, C-130, EA-6B, H-60, H-53, VH-71, H-1, H-3, and V-22 aircraft and rotorcraft.
Areas of Aeronautical Engineering Expertise:
Finite element analysis
Structural design and analysis of aircraft structures
Military and Commercial Aircraft
Metal and Composite structures
Design Review
Stress Analysis - both Classical and Finite Element Analysis
Fatigue, damage tolerance, and risk assessment of aircraft structures (courses available for
corporate training)
External loads analysis (derivation of aerodynamic loads, inertial
loads, fatigue loads, and design loads - including the effects of
aeroelasticity) and power-spectral density (PSD) analysis (courses available for
corporate training)
